Distributed space missions applied to sea surface height monitoring

چکیده
Distributed space missions can offer significant advantages in cost and complexity over traditional, monolithic spacecraft. The ability of a distributed mission to perform synthetic aperture radar interferometry for the purpose sea surface height monitoring is assessed. A multiobjective genetic algorithm used vary payload distribution, parameters orbital explore impact these on measurement error, cost, revisit time, resilience failure. It shown that offers an estimated savings 26% compared upcoming Surface Water Ocean Topography mission, suggesting meet requirements at similar or reduced costs while offering benefits such as schedule flexibility. Additionally, extension Helix formation arbitrary number satellites presented.

Learning Approaches Applied To Human-Robot Interaction For Space Missions
Advances in space science and technology have enabled humanity to reach a stage where we are able to send manned and unmanned vehicles to explore nearby planets. However, given key differences between terrestrial and space environments such as differences in atmospheric content and pressure, acceleration due to gravity among many others between our planet and those we wish to explore, it is not...
متن کاملStochastic Dynamics of Sea Surface Height Variability
Sea surface height anomalies measured by the Ocean Topography Experiment (TOPEX)/Poseidon satellite altimeter indicate high values of skewness and kurtosis. Except in a few regions, including the Gulf Stream, the Kuroshio Extension, and the Agulhas Retroflection, that display bimodal patterns of sea surface height variability, kurtosis is uniformly greater than 1.5 times the squared skewness mi...
متن کاملDistributed Service-Based Cooperation in Aerial/Ground Robot Teams Applied to Fire Detection and Extinguishing Missions
This paper presents a system for the coordination of aerial and ground robots for applications such as surveillance and intervention in emergency management. The overall system architecture is described. An important part for the coordination between robots is the task allocation strategy. A distributed market-based algorithm, called S+T, has been developed to solve the multi-robot task allocat...
متن کاملSIDCDA - An adaptive configurable distributed software architecture applied to satellite control missions
This work was proposed as a Doctoral Thesis of Applied Computing Course at Brazilian National Institute for Space Research (INPE) and is a ongoing work. The main purpose of SICSDA is to allow that satellites control can be done through the same set of machines, enabling the choice of which one of the satellites is desirable to be monitored in a determined piece of time. Another important fact i...
